Ireland Visit (part 1)
I'm now beginning to sort out the pictures and films from our recent trip. Lots to come.
Here's Eoin in an alcove looking out over Wicklow Head;

Here's Connor being a bit strange in my parents' house in New Ross;

More lighthouse photos to come. Then a film from South Knock.
See you next time.
Paul.

SEED DISPERSION
This from my Sydenham blog...
My son, Eoin helping the dandelions disperse their seeds while walking home from school yesterday, May 14th.
I heard on the BBC this morning that these lovely, characterful flowers, or weeds as some regard them, are more abundant than ever this year given our lovely warm, wet spring.

GUARDIAN FEATURES MY SHORT FILM
My tiny film of just one minute, featuring Eoin and Connor tearing around in their new blue shoes, has just been featured on the Guardian's website. This is well cool and great exposure. Please take a moment to vote for it if you like it.

THE NEW BLUE SHOES
While walking through the park yesterday I was quite suddenly struck by the brilliant blueness of the lads' new shoes. This short film, only one minute long, is the result. I doubt you'll have seen anything quite like it before. We hope you like it.

PLAYGROUND SHENANIGANS
Eoin and Connor messing around on a hot summer day at Indian Road Playground in Inwood. The end is hilarious. Turn up the volume.
Playground Shenanigans from Paul Treacy on Vimeo.
Next up will be a short experimental, fast paced piece on the lads' new shoes. But it may take a few days to finish. After that I'll be taking a break to catch up with work again. Mind you, I see these as work as I develop new techniques to bring to my assignment work as it becomes more multimedia in nature.
Please enjoy.

Eoin, regarding one of his classmates: I want to marry Sophie, and she wants to marry me. (After some further discussion:) But I don't know what our child will look like.

Posted by Claire.
Now it's Paul on Claire's login posting a re-edited London Eye short film. This time it's only 2 mins, 54 secs long. It's a fast flowing piece this time. I prepped it for a Guardian/Canon project called Freecording. Films need to be inside 1 to 3 mins. Hope you like it.
Comments welcome.

PIANO RECITAL
Eoin and Connor perform at Jazz at Lincoln Center with their school's piano program. Several schools in northern Manhattan partake in the Piano School of New York City's program and then put on a performance for the parents. Performance is regarded as a very important part of the child's development and our lads did really well. We were utterly delighted at the whole thing. Connor had to be bribed with a chocolate biscuit, however, but then had a great time in the limelight while he played Hot Cross Buns.
Eoin finished up his performance of One, Two - Buckle My Shoe with a rather comical bow which brought a laugh from the audience.

HIPPO EATS EOIN
Connor put up quite a fight at the dentist and so was exhausted and fast asleep while Eoin entered the hippo at a playground in Central Park across the street from the surgery.

Eoin "throwing a balloon"
Hello. Sorry for the absence of new images here for a while. Been busy trying to fix my video camera so that I can start to make some movies about this wonderful place called Inwood before time runs out. Connor broke my camera during the summer and I've been at a loss without it. All attempts to mend thus far have failed but I've had an idea.
Anyway, back to the stills again. Here's one of Eoin over the Christmas holidays. He was "throwing a balloon" apparently. The whiteness is from the canopy of the camp the two lads set up in the middle of the room.

I stumbled on this shot as I was preparing work for something else. I love it. There's just something about it that I really like. Can't quite put my finger on it.
Much more to come soonest. Including a short film of the lads messing at the beach in Connecticut on a hot summer day. This might take a wee while though as I'm on a new machine and will need to learn some stuff.
You might be interested in my INWOODPIX blog. Some good stuff here.
Back soon.
