Big gap while we have been on the move this summer, during which I have forgotten many a potential quote for this blog. Connor has started talking about death, perhaps because 2 people we knew died earlier this summer, and we stayed in the house of one of them (Paul's aunt Kay) while between apartments. A few times he has said vehemently 'I hate when you die'. Today he asked:
When you die, do your toys die too?
Today I took them to the replica of the Golden Hinde, the ticket office for which had a toy skeleton with an eye patch in the window. This lead Eoin to draw a series of ghost-pirates. One, 'bad-ghost', can juggle cannon balls on his hook and sword, while 'silly-bones', clicks instead of speaks and regularly drops bits of himself. Later we went to watch the remote control car enthusiasts racing their cars in the park. After a while Eoin asked to leave so that he could draw some at home, asserting:
I'm going to be a car designer.
